Mike and I take a lot of photos while we are out and about, as you may know. He took this reference photo, at my request at the Sullivans' St. Patrick's Day party, held at the Barn Theater in Winthrop Town Centre. I loved the low light, right after sunset, and played up the spotlight effect from the outdoor lighting and Mike's wonderful perspective. I also cooled the sky colors to offset the "heat" of the crowns.
This painting is being offered for auction at Daily Paintworks, with a starting bid of $85.00. Check the rest of my gallery while you are there.

I find it so amazing how many different ways palm trees can be painted. Love these! Have been doing studies of palm fronds myself in the past 2 weeks. Fun and frustrating :-)
You've captured beautiful light here. Really stunning!
