This week's Daily Paintworks Challenge, issued by Akiko White, is to paint one of the Twelve Days of Christmas. Since I love painting portraits, I decided to include one in my entry as the Fifth Day of Christmas..."Five Golden Rings." I had a great time playing with the girl's gorgeous green eyes, and of course, adding the gold was kinda cool too.
If you are an artist, you may wish to try this one yourself. There is almost always lots of leeway for imaginative and unique interpretations of the original concept of the challenge. If I am not too busy, I may paint another before the next challenge is posted, so check back!
