I love the look of this little silver horse, a little stylized statue, which charmed me when I saw it. This is a play with values to create the look of metal. The dramatic blue background seems to work well for me. I toned with red for this one, and the color accentuates the forms in what might otherwise have been a tighter, less playful painting. I enjoy playful, don't you?
