Wow, thank you Bill and Marilyn. When I first began painting, I studied old master reproduction, so I find it easier than creating my own...all the problems of value, composition, color harmony are worked out by far better craftsmen than I could ever hope to be! Bouguereau is my favorite by far, but I learn so much from all the masters I have included in "The Masters as Teachers". This exhibit I have chosen to produce will showcase them more than me, and I am very happy with my decision. Where would any of us be without their influences and their ceaseless dedication to study? I can only emulate their superior example but forever remain in a far, far shadow...
