Portrait de Gabrielle Cot, after Wm. Adolphe Bouguereau.  This is all the time I can spend on her, and I am not sure I could do any better anyway.  So I will move along.  There is a little glare in the darks, but it is still very wet.

Debra, I was admiring this painting the other
day, and wow, I wasen't sure what to say.
There is so much you've captured here, it's
fun to know you're doing this!
Hope all is well, or as well as can be expected, again my sympathies to you and your family.
Your painting skills and asperations are admirable, thanks for caring and sharing.

Wow, thank you Bill and Marilyn. When I first began painting, I studied old master reproduction, so I find it easier than creating my own...all the problems of value, composition, color harmony are worked out by far better craftsmen than I could ever hope to be! Bouguereau is my favorite by far, but I learn so much from all the masters I have included in "The Masters as Teachers". This exhibit I have chosen to produce will showcase them more than me, and I am very happy with my decision. Where would any of us be without their influences and their ceaseless dedication to study? I can only emulate their superior example but forever remain in a far, far shadow...
